Senior Information Security Consultant wanted – Shape the future of information security
Information security has become one of the most important strategic success factors for companies in recent years. New regulatory requirements, increasing cyber threats and the growing complexity of digital business models present organizations with enormous challenges. At the same time, there is a growing need for experts who not only have technical expertise, but can also explain complex topics in an understandable way and develop sustainable security strategies. With this in mind, Syngenity® GmbH is looking for an experienced individual for the position of Senior Information Security Consultant. The role offers the opportunity to play an active role in the further development of our clients’ security landscape and to support challenging projects at national and international level.
In this position, you will work closely with various companies that want to modernize and professionalize their information security processes. Your focus will be on establishing, further developing and sustainably anchoring information security management systems in accordance with established standards such as ISO 27001 or TISAX. This is not just about implementing processes and guidelines, but above all about the ability to develop individual and practical solutions that meet the real requirements of customers. They support organizations in assessing risks in a structured manner, deriving suitable measures and implementing them effectively.
A central component of your work is the implementation of GAP analyses, which identify both the current maturity level of existing security measures and necessary improvements. In addition, you will carry out risk assessments, support the derivation of suitable controls and accompany their implementation within the operational areas. Your tasks will include translating complex technical content into understandable and practicable fields of action as well as carrying out awareness and training measures. In this way, you make a significant contribution to ensuring that information security is not just understood as a theoretical concept, but is established as an integral part of the corporate culture.
You will also research relevant standards and regulatory developments. In addition to ISO 27001 and TISAX, other frameworks such as NIS2, DORA, C5, SOC2 and ISO 9001 are playing an increasingly important role. Data protection requirements such as the GDPR are also becoming increasingly important, which is why a basic understanding of the interfaces between data protection and information security is an advantage. Your ability to quickly grasp new requirements and translate them into practical concepts makes you a valued point of contact within the team and with customers.
The professional qualifications for this position include sound professional experience in the field of information security as well as in-depth knowledge of relevant standards and best practices. Ideally, you will have practical expertise in setting up and operating an ISMS and in conducting audits or preparing for certification. Your communication and project management skills will enable you to manage challenging projects in a structured manner, involve stakeholders and communicate insights clearly. As many projects are carried out in English, very good German and English language skills are required. At the same time, Syngenity® GmbH attaches great importance to the ability to work in a team, a willingness to learn and the motivation to continuously develop yourself.
Syngenity® GmbH offers you a modern working environment with a wide range of creative opportunities. The projects are varied and cover different industries and company sizes. All activities can be carried out completely remotely, giving you maximum flexibility and allowing you to organize your working hours in the best possible way. In addition to attractive working conditions, Syngenity® GmbH offers a wide range of opportunities for further development, for example through certifications, study programs or the development of your own specialist areas. The facilities include modern technical equipment such as a company laptop and a company cell phone. You will also benefit from company pension schemes, health benefits and regular team meetings where knowledge is exchanged, best practices are discussed and new impetus is provided.
