Sustainability in motion

Sustainability in motion: 5,122 kg of CO₂ saved

In the first half of 2025, the Syngenity® GmbH team made a conscious decision: Mobility should be as environmentally friendly as possible in the future. This decision was not just a symbolic act, but was consistently put into practice. The results speak for themselves: 23,485 kilometers were covered by train, avoiding a total of 5,122 kilograms of CO₂ emissions. This figure not only represents an impressive saving, but also a clear commitment to sustainable business practices.

Choosing the train as a preferred means of transportation is an example of how companies can make a positive contribution to climate protection through everyday decisions. While air travel and car journeys are often considered the norm, Syngenity shows that there is another way – and that these alternatives are not only ecologically sensible, but also practicable.

The decision to take the train was not made out of sheer necessity, but out of conviction. Whether for business trips, site visits or the daily commute, the team made a conscious decision in favor of a form of mobility that causes significantly fewer emissions. The focus was not only on the environment, but also on efficiency and comfort. Today, modern rail connections offer a reliable and productive travel environment that can be easily reconciled with professional requirements.

The 5,122 kilograms of CO₂ saved are more than just a number. They stand for an attitude that sees sustainability not as a short-term trend, but as a long-term responsibility. At a time when companies are increasingly being called upon to reduce their ecological footprint, Syngenity is showing what concrete measures can look like. It is not about changing everything immediately, but about achieving a big impact with small, consistent steps.

This attitude is also reflected in our corporate culture. Sustainability is not just a buzzword at Syngenity, but a guiding principle. Decisions are made with a view to how they affect the environment, society and long-term corporate goals. This applies not only to mobility, but also to other areas such as energy consumption, resource utilization and supply chain management.

A key aspect of this development is raising employee awareness. Sustainability begins in the mind – and it becomes effective when it is supported by everyone. The Syngenity® team has shown that it is possible to break new ground together. The changeover to rail travel was not imposed, but decided jointly. It is an expression of a collective sense of responsibility that goes beyond individual interests.

Communication also plays an important role. By talking openly about its measures and successes, Syngenity creates transparency and inspires others to take similar steps. The message is clear: sustainability is achievable – and it starts with the decision to take responsibility.

The positive effects of this mobility strategy are manifold. In addition to CO₂ savings, employees also benefit from stress-free travel, a better work-life balance and a stronger sense of community. Rail as a means of transport makes it possible to use travel time productively, for example to prepare for meetings or to relax. This not only has an impact on the environment, but also on the quality of work.

In addition, the consistent implementation of sustainable mobility strengthens Syngenity®’s position as a responsible company. At a time when customers, partners and investors are attaching increasing importance to ecological and social criteria, a credible commitment to sustainability is an important competitive advantage. It shows that Syngenity does not just talk, but acts – and that the company is prepared to take responsibility.

Syngenity’s successes to date are not an end point, but a starting point. The company plans to further expand its mobility strategy and take additional measures to reduce emissions. These include promoting the use of bicycles, optimizing digital meetings to avoid unnecessary travel and working with sustainable service providers.

The integration of sustainability into the corporate strategy is also being driven forward. The aim is to systematically integrate ecological responsibility into all business areas – from product development and customer service to internal organization. Syngenity focuses on innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

The message sent out by this success is clear: sustainability is not a luxury, but a necessity. And it is achievable if companies are prepared to question their habits and break new ground. The 5,122 kilograms of CO₂ saved are proof that even seemingly small decisions can have a big impact.

Syngenity® shows that responsibility and innovation can go hand in hand. The choice of rail as the preferred mode of transportation is a symbol of a new way of doing business – one that focuses not only on efficiency, but also on sustainability. It is a step towards a greener, smarter future where sustainability is not just thought about, but lived.
