ISO 27001 Certification Updated

Syngenity® GmbH’s ISMS is certified to DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2024, which confirms our commitment to information security.

ISO 27001 Certification in Accordance with the Current Version of the Standard

Anyone who advises others on information security must also consistently follow those principles themselves.

At Syngenity®, this principle has long shaped our daily work. For us, information security is not just a service we offer our customers. It is firmly embedded in our own organization, our processes, and our daily decisions.

We are therefore pleased to announce that Syngenity® GmbH has successfully obtained certification under DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2024. Our established information security management system is now certified in accordance with the current German version of this internationally recognized standard.

This updated ISO 27001 certification does not mark the beginning of our journey in information security. Rather, it confirms the path we have already taken and demonstrates that our existing structures continue to meet the requirements of the current version of the standard.

Information security must be practiced every day

Policies and documented processes are important components of an information security management system. However, documents alone do not ensure effective information security.

Information security is only effective when responsibilities are understood, risks are actively managed, and security requirements are incorporated into day-to-day work. This includes handling information with care, granting access rights, addressing security incidents, and evaluating changes to systems and processes.

For us, ISO 27001 certification means applying these principles throughout the entire organization. Responsibilities are clearly defined, information security risks are systematically identified, assessed, and addressed, and the effectiveness of existing measures is regularly reviewed.

This approach helps ensure that information security is not the sole responsibility of individual specialists. Instead, it becomes an integral part of daily work throughout the entire company.

What Our ISO 27001 Certification Confirms

DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001 defines requirements for the establishment, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of an information security management system, or ISMS for short.

Our certification was conducted by TÜV Hessen and confirms that our ISMS meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2024.

The scope of certification covers our consulting services for the implementation, further development, and maintenance of management systems in the areas of information security, data protection, quality management, and artificial intelligence.

ISO 27001 certification confirms that, within this scope, we follow a structured and risk-based approach to information security. Risks are not considered only once or solely in preparation for an audit. They are reassessed on a regular basis and whenever relevant changes occur.

At the same time, the certification confirms that responsibilities, processes, and security measures are integrated into a management system that is independently audited and regularly monitored.

What ISO 27001 Certification Means for Our Customers and Partners

Trust plays a central role in every consulting relationship. Our clients share information with us about their organizations, processes, and management systems. They must therefore be able to rely on us to handle this information responsibly.

Our ISO 27001 certification provides independent verification that information security at Syngenity® is managed within clearly defined and regularly audited frameworks.

Certification does not mean that information security can ever be considered fully complete. No certification can eliminate all risks. Rather, ISO 27001 certification confirms that risks are systematically identified and managed, and that information security measures are continuously reviewed and improved.

For our clients and partners, this means that their information is handled within an independently audited information security management system. The principles we recommend to our clients in consulting projects thus also form the basis of our own way of working.

A Joint Effort

Successful certification is never the result of just one person or department.

Behind this success lie intensive preparation, rigorous reviews, and the continuous improvement of our processes and documentation. Above all, however, this certification reflects the commitment of a team that actively supports and embodies information security every day.

All employees contribute to the effectiveness of our ISMS by handling information with care, adhering to agreed-upon processes, and actively participating in improvements.

We would therefore like to thank all our colleagues who contributed to this achievement. Their dedication, attention to detail, and shared sense of responsibility made it possible for us to successfully obtain ISO 27001 certification in accordance with the current version of the standard.

ISO 27001 certification is not the end of the road

For us, certification is neither a final goal nor a document that can simply be filed away after the audit.

An effective ISMS must evolve in tandem with the organization, its services, the technologies it uses, and the changing threat landscape. New risks emerge, processes change, and existing security measures must be reviewed regularly.

Our ISO 27001 certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2024 therefore represents both a validation and a commitment. It confirms the effectiveness of the structures we have established and, at the same time, underscores our responsibility to continuously improve them.

We will continue to assess risks, strengthen our processes, and consistently integrate information security into our day-to-day work. After all, anyone who advises others on information security must be prepared to apply the same standards to their own organization.

Certified according to the current version. Embedded in our organization. Put into practice every day.
